Bellville real estate brokers J. Frank Monk and Donald Cornett were honored with the ALC-to-ALC Networking Award of the REALTORS Land Institute on March 27, at the organization’s 2009 National Land Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
Both Monk and Cornett hold the esteemed Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation for which the award is named. Monk is owner and broker of J. Frank Monk Real Estate, and Don Cornett is broker/associate with Bill Johnson & Associates of Bellville, Texas.
The ALC-to-ALC Networking Awards were established to showcase how broker collaboration can reap results for clients.
Monk and Cornett came together on a transaction relating to a 121-acre parcel of a larger ranch property. Monk was representing the ranch property owners, and Cornett had a client in search of a ranch property.
Once the prospective buyer made an offer, Monk and Cornett worked together to create a mutually agreeable scenario, including negotiations regarding the mineral rights. The contract was signed and surveyed, the title commitment completed, and the transaction closed in less than 2 weeks.
Keith Morris, ALC, the 2009 National President of the REALTORS Land Institute presented the award to Monk and Cornett saying, “Clients are well served by using designated land specialists in these types of transactions. Though their collaboration, Frank Monk and Don Cornett provided the highest level of professional services for their clients.”
