The REALTORS® Land Institute is proud to award RLI Members and Instructors for their outstanding achievements.  Below are the Awards given out by the Institute.

ALC-to-ALC Networking Awards

The ALC-to-ALC Networking Awards showcase the range of referral opportunities available to those land professionals who have achieved the Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation.  Four categories of awards are available:

  1. The largest in state ALC-to-ALC transaction by sales volume
  2. The largest in state ALC-to-ALC transaction by total acreage
  3. The largest national referral for an ALC-to-ALC transaction by sales volume
  4.  The largest national referral for an ALC-to-ALC transaction by total acreage

 

CRITERIA:

  1. Nominees must be ALCs prior to transaction closing date.
  2. Nominees must submit closing documents (HUD-1 or Settlement sheets).
  3. Nominees must have received a commission or referral fee.
  4. Nominees must sign a document confirming their role(s) in the transaction.
  5.  Nominees must submit a brief description of the transaction.
  6. Only 1 submission per ALC (same on both side), per category.  Multiple entries are allowed with a different ALC on the other side of the transaction.
  7. More than 2 ALCs may be involved in the transaction.
  8. Transaction closing dates must be completed between January 1, 2013, and December 31, 2013.

2013 ALC-to-ALC Networking Award Nominations is February 8, 2014. Submit Nominations to rli@realtors.org.

Awards will be presented at the 2014 National Land Conference.


The Robert C. Meeks, ALC, Distinguished Service Award

In honor of dedicated, long-time Accredited Land Consultant Robert C. Meeks, the Distinguished Service Award is presented to an ALC in recognition of long-term commitment and service to fellow-Institute members, the land profession, and the community.  

CRITERIA: 
Nominees must hold the ALC designation, have completed at least 15 years of service to the Institute, made unique contributions to RLI, and be involved in community and professional activities.  

2013 Meeks Award Nomination Form Submissions are due by September 30, 2013.

The Award will be presented at the 2013 RLI Day in conjunction with the NAR Annual Conference and Expo.


Land REALTOR® of America Award

Once a year, an accomplished Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) is chosen by past recipients to receive the esteemed Land REALTOR® of America Award. The Land REALTOR® of America Award recognizes members of RLI for their effort and work expended in the interest of their fellow Institute members, their profession, and their community. 

 

CRITERIA:

  1. Nominees must be Accredited Land Consultants.
  2. Nominees must show contributions to the advancement of the land profession.
  3. Nominees must possess the REALTOR® spirit, which includes having high principles of faithfulness to laws and regulations of the Code of Ethics and chapter, and furtherance of principles of good real estate practice among other brokers and the general public.
  4. Nominees must demonstrate participation in chapter activities as an officer or community chairman; special assignments; seminar activity and educational work; membership recruitment efforts and helping other members with their chapter responsibilities.
  5. Nominees must demonstrate participation in national institute activities including holding national office or committee chair positions and attendance at national meetings.
  6. Nominees must demonstrate participation in civic activities on a local, state and national level such as service clubs, charitable activities, political commissions, fraternal or religious groups, etc.  
  7. Nominees must demonstrate business accomplishments such as good business conduct, service to clients, imaginative and creative marketing programs, rehabilitation work, land utilization, etc.
  8. Nominees must demonstrate participation in REALTOR®-related activities on a local, state and national level including offices held, committee work completed, special assignments, seminar activity, education work, etc.
  9. The nominee cannot be the current RLI National President, National President Elect, National Vice President, National Vice President of Finance or the immediate past president.

Excellence in Instruction Award

The Excellence in Instruction Award recognizes RLI instructors for their exceptional teaching skills, contributions to Land U professional development, and volunteerism for RLI education.

CRITERIA:

Recipients must be within the top five overall in student evaluation scores, participated in and submitted appropriate paperwork for RLI professional development requirements, illustrated best-practice in instruction, contributed to diverse educational opportunities, participated in course improvement and updates, and demonstrated volunteerism for RLI education.

The award recipient is chosen by the Education Committee  after receiving  instructor evaluations, as well as a description of what each instructor has done for professional development and volunteerism for RLI education.


Outstanding Chapter Award

The Outstanding Chapter Award recognizes one RLI chapter that has demonstrated excellence and creativity in the following categories: member retention and development, course and other educational offerings, volunteerism to national RLI, technological achievements, and outreach and collaboration with other RLI chapters and local and state organizations.

CRITERIA:

Only official RLI chapters can be nominated.
