Based on information supplied by NAR Research, the volume of land sold increased between 2010 through 2013 from $4,031,200,331 to $16,505,762,861. The results of an Institute survey in which about 200 random land specialists participated indicated that the average ALC earned $373,925, which is approximately $100,000 more a year than the average earned by non-designee respondents. The largest ALC transaction in 2013 was $80 million and the largest ALC transaction reported to date in 2014 is $562 million.

Courses offered by LANDU of the REALTORS® Land Institute:
Courses are offered via diverse delivery systems including traditional classrooms, online, hybrid, and independent study. The Institute held a LANDU Education Week plus in the NAR Building in Chicago on July 14-23, 2013. The 2014 LANDU Education Week took place in Chicago on June 22-30.

Annual National Land Conference:
The 2015 National Land Conference will take place in Tucson, Arizona, on March 23-25. The 2014 National Land Conference: If Land Could Talk, took place in Charleston, South Carolina, on March 12-14 with 250 attendees. Each year, attendee numbers increase with the awareness that this is a one-of-a-kind event offering best-in-class industry presenters, bond-building opportunities, and a venue where deals are made. The GREATEST COWBOY AUCTION ON EARTH takes place at the annual national land conference with expert member auctioneers organizing and calling the event.

Additional Programs:
The Institute rolled out its exclusive listing site in 2014, THE LAND CONNECTIONS:  Do Business with the Best in the Business. Hot topic web seminars, archives of educational events, a speaker center, and corporate education programs are offered through REALTORS® Land Institute. The Institute offers annual licensing for a session titled LAND: THE CORE OF REAL ESTATE to state and local organizations and Institute chapters. This session gives those interested in land a “taste” of the business. A fast track program to the ALC designation is available for those who have earned specific designations and degrees with a major in real estate or in programs that relate specifically to land.
