Land Investment Analysis Virtual Course Information

This is an advanced course. If you are new to land real estate or have not taken a LANDU course before, especially in the virtual format, we highly recommend taking another LANDU course, prior to Land Investment Analysis.

The Land Investment Analysis virtual course is scheduled to be completed over 5 weekly Zoom sessions. Each session is 3 hours. These virtual instructor-led sessions will be conducted over Zoom.

Pre-Course Assessment Admission Requirements
Students are required to complete the Land Investment Analysis Pre-Course Assessment with a score of 100% to take the Land Investment Analysis course. The Pre-Course Quiz will become available to complete within the RLI Education Portal, after the student has registered for the course. There are nine questions which will test your knowledge of the basic use and navigation of Excel. If the student does not pass the Pre-Course Assessment on the first try, they have the opportunity to retake the quiz twice. Students must agree to the LANDU® Learner Agreement.

Tech Requirements 
This course requires a laptop or desktop computer, including full Excel capabilities. Mobile devices, like iPads, tablets, and cellphones, will not run RLI’s Excel spreadsheets. 

• PC: Microsoft Office 2000 or higher is necessary to run the RLI’s Land Investment Analysis Excel spreadsheets. 
• Mac: Mac versions of Microsoft Office 2004, 2011, 2016, or 365 are required to run the RLI Land Investment Analysis Excel Spreadsheets. 
• Browser: RLI’s education portal is optimized for use with Google Chrome or Mozilla FireFox web browser. 

Land Investment Analysis Course Description 
This course will provide you with land investment principles that are valuable to any investor or land professional. Gain the expertise needed to take on more clients, close more deals, make wise investment decisions, and be prepared to take on even the toughest land investment transactions.

Land Investment Analysis Course Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to: 

• Gain tools to conduct an analysis of a property, and then employ strategies learned in this program to guide investors through the Land Investment Analysis process 
• Given land real estate industry expertise criterion, determine the highest and best use of a property 
• Based on the given case study, perform due diligence to determine success of a potential investment by analyzing cash flows, ratios, rates of return, and yields. 

LANDU Course Pricing Structure

ALC Designated Course Price ($375) - For registrants that have already earned the Accredited Land Consultants (ALC) Designation and are considered to be an active ALC.
RLI Member Course Price ($750) - For registrants that are REALTORS® Land Institute Members who have not yet earned the Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) Designation.
Non-Member Course Price ($950) - For registrants that are not active members of the REALTORS® Land Institute.

Please Note:

This course is not approved for CE. RLI National does not apply for CE approval for our courses nor will file any CE paperwork on a student's behalf. We recommend that students contact their State’s Real Estate Commission for the requirements on self-reporting CE for their license. In some states, the Commission allows self-reporting and requires the individual to submit any additional course materials (i.e. timed agenda, course objectives, description…), along with their course completion certificate. Unfortunately, RLI National does not have access nor is familiar with the various state CE requirements and criteria.
