Event Information

RLIs Chapter Leadership Academy is a two-day event exclusively for RLIs Chapter Leaders and administrators to participate in formal training to develop stronger chapter programming and services for their local members. The event will include sessions on chapter governance and administration, chapter marketing and member engagement, as well as leadership training and networking.

Who: Exclusively for Chapter Leaders (members of a Chapter's Board of Directors) and Chapter Administrators

Thanks to the generosity of the Land Education Foundation (LEF), many costs will be covered for the event.

• There is no cost to register for the event (but attendees MUST register through the website to secure their spot).
• Meals will be provided for the attendees during the event.
• LEF will cover hotel costs and reimburse up to $500 in travel (airfare, gas, Uber, etc.) for paid Chapter Admins and the chapter's President-Elect.
• If the chapter does not have a President-Elect but instead has a President serving a two-year term, LEF will cover the hotel and $500 travel reimbursement for the Chapter President.

Hotel:
A block of rooms with a discounted rate have been reserved at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Chicago/Magnificent Mile, 10 E. Grand Ave., Chicago, IL 60611, under “RLI - Chapter Leadership Academy.” The hotel is a quick walk from the RLI offices on Michigan Ave.

LEF will only cover hotel accommodations booked through the RLI room block at the Hilton Garden Inn. RLI will provide instructions for reimbursement closer to the event.

Air Travel:
Both O'Hare Airport and Midway Airport are convenient to downtown Chicago. Attendees can Uber or taxi from either airport or take the CTA (the "L") to downtown from O'Hare (Blue Line) or Midway (Orange Line).
