Tax Strategies and Legacy Planning for Landowners Webinar Event Image

According to the USDA, 70% of farmers and ranchers do not have a succession plan-a critical gap that presents both challenges and opportunities. In this session, we will explore key strategies to help you and your clients navigate tax savings, generational planning, succession planning, estate planning, and the sale of equipment and grain. These unique approaches can provide significant financial advantages while preserving wealth for future generations.

Speakers:

Joe Michaletz - Joe has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry and founded DAI Wealth, Inc. in 2006 to offer truly independent advice. He later expanded the firm by acquiring a FINRA Broker-Dealer and broadening services to include private equity and real estate alternatives. He holds a Finance degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato, along with Series 7, 63, 66, and 24 licenses, and serves on the Board of Directors of First National Bank of Minnesota. Outside of work, Joe enjoys hunting, fishing, and flying as a private pilot to meet with clients across the country.

Mike O'Toole - Mike has over 20 years of experience in real estate and investment securities, including a decade with a national real estate and DST investment firm. He advises clients on investment planning with a focus on real estate, 1031 exchanges, and estate planning, and serves on the DAI investment committee, contributing to due diligence efforts. Mike is skilled in underwriting, developing, and syndicating commercial real estate offerings. He holds Series 7, 66, and 22 licenses, is a licensed real estate broker, a CCIM designee, and an honors graduate of Montana State University. Mike is also an active member of ADISA and frequently participates in national industry panels, while enjoying outdoor activities with his wife, Amy, and their daughter, Olivia.
