Scholastica (“Gay”) D. Cororaton is a Research Economist at the Research Group of the National Association of REALTORS®, a trade association of 1.3+ million members. She joined NAR in 2012.
She analyzes how macroeconomic and demographic trends affect the national and local residential and commercial real estate market. She leads the conduct and analysis of surveys about the residential market, international homebuying activity, and the land market, namely, the Realtors® Confidence Index Survey, the Profile of International Real Estate Transactions in the U.S. and state/local surveys for Florida, Miami, Raleigh NC, Coastal Carolinas, and Chicago, the Outbound Referral Business Survey, and the Realtors® Land Institute Land Business Survey. She contributes analysis to NAR’s Commercial Real Estate Outlook reports and the Commercial International Real Estate Business Survey.
She has an MS in Statistical Science from George Mason University, an MA in Economics from the University of the Philippines, an MS in Industrial Economics from the University of Asia and the Pacific (Philippines), and a BS in Business Economics (cum laude) from the University of the Philippines.
She is a Certified Business Economist™ (CBE), a designation conferred by the National Association for Business Economics as a mark of professional\\\\\\\'s accomplishment, experience, abilities, and demonstrated mastery of the body of knowledge critical for a successful career in the field of economics and data analytics.
