Dr. Mark G. Dotzour is a real estate economist who served for 18 years as Chief Economist of the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University in College Station. He has given more than 1,500 presentations to more than 275,000 people and has written over 90 articles for magazines and journals. His research findings have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Money Magazine and Business Week. After earning his PhD in finance and real estate from the University of Texas at Austin in 1987, Dotzour was a tenured professor of real estate and finance at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas for 10 years. Prior to his academic career, he was President of Gleneagles Development, Inc., which was a residential land development firm in Wichita.

Delaney Howell is the host of Iowa Public Television’s Market to Market television program.

She is the founder of AgCulture Media LLC, which specializes in video production for technologically savvy agricultural companies and co-launched a daily agriculture news podcast, Ag News Daily. She is also a freelance reporter for “This Week in Agribusiness”, and Your Ag Network, and is a member of various organizations including the Iowa Cattleman’s Association, and the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) organization.

Howell grew up on a family farm in Southeast Iowa. Today, her father and oldest brother run a finish feedlot cattle operation, farm corn and soybeans, and her mom has a hobby chicken farm. Delaney holds a Bachelor‘s of Science degree in Agricultural Sciences and minors in Broadcasting and International Studies from Northwest Missouri State University and a Master’s in Agricultural Communications through Texas Tech University. With a passion for agriculture, she has traveled the world, now totaling 20 countries.

Traveling to 16 countries and 30 some states, Delaney studies agricultural systems on a large scale. U.S. agriculture plays such a vital role in so many countries that the importance sometimes gets lost to producers who are concerned about production on a smaller scale or local level. Bill is a frequent industry speaker, teacher and active board member of multiple associations. He has been a director or officer in most of the major real estate organizations in Tampa, and has been honored with numerous “Broker of the Year” and “Top Producer” awards over his 30+ career. Most recent are FGCAR Regional Land Broker for 2018 #1 Top Regional Producer; RLI National Apex Awards Top 20 Producer National 2018; NAIOP 2019 Land Deal of the Year, As a past instructor for the REALTORS® Land Institute, Bill has co-authored and taught multiple courses including “Site Selection-Finding the Best Sites” and “Land 101-Fundamentals of Land Brokerage” throughout the Untied States. He was recently inducted into the RLI National Educator Hall of Fame, which he takes great pride in.

He earned the prestigious Florida 2013 Board-Certified “Land Broker of the Year Award” by the World Organization Land Federation Advisory Board (WOLF) and “The Henry Blanton Lifetime Achievement Award” by the Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors (FGCAR) for his many years of leadership. He was inducted into the NAIOP Tampa Bay Hall of Fame and was the Tampa Bay Builders Association Builder of the Year in a bygone era.

Greg started his real estate career in 1996, working as a part-time agent. In 2000 he earned his TN Broker’s license and began a full time real estate career. Greg’s real estate business is built on hard work and a dedication to keeping the client’s interest first at all times. Greg is the Managing Broker at Fast Track Realty in Memphis, TN.

He holds numerous industry designations and certifications including the Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) and the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation from the National Association of REALTORS® and the Master Graduate REALTORS® Instute (GRI) designation from the Tennessee REALTORS®.

As a real estate educator and proponent of professional development, Greg is a Tennessee Real Estate Commission TREC approved course instructor, as well as the author of many TREC approved continuing education courses on real estate topics. He works closely with the Tennessee REALTORS®, and other TREC -approved real estate providers in developing new courses for real estate professionals.

Aaron Graham, ALC, is the President of National Land, LLC, which is the parent company of National Land Realty, LLC, Land Line Lending, LLC, and Vermilion Settlement Services, LLC. He entered the real estate business in 2004, after retiring from a successful NFL career where he played for the Arizona Cardinals, Oakland Raiders, and Tennessee Titans. Over the past 15 years, he has brokered over $300,000,000 of land transactions throughout the Midwest, mostly in the farm, ranch, and recreational market sectors.

Aaron earned the Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) Designation in 2013, and in 2016, RLI presented Aaron with their Rising Star Award, which is awarded to one individual each year for making significant contributions to the land profession and to RLI. He also served as Chair of RLI’s national Future Leaders Committee in 2017. Aaron lives in Ashland, NE with his wife, Kim, and their 4 children, Cooper, Baylen, Landrie and Nash.

The world seems to be changing at a lightening-fast speed. Entire industries are being reshaped what seems like overnight. George was Chair of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Global Business and Alliance Committee for 2019. As such, he oversaw the development of NAR’s formal relationships with 101 international real estate organizations in 84 different countries. Having conducted his first international transaction thirty-four years ago, George has been a leader in the international real estate business and just in 2013 did the largest international transaction in the Telluride, Colorado market at $17 million. In his thirty-five year career George has served as President of the Telluride Association of Realtors, twice Telluride REALTOR® of the Year, past President of the Colorado Association of REALTORS® in 2010, Colorado’s REALTOR® of the Year in 2015 and a Vice President of NAR in 2017. George has completed over 700 real estate transactions in excess of $550 million is sales in his thirty-five year career. In November of 2019, George was awarded a life time recognition for twenty years of serving the global real estate community in the United States and developing international real estate relations on behalf of NAR’s 1.4 million REALTOR® members.

Joe has 32 years of expertise in the financial service industry. He founded Discipline Advisors, Inc., an SEC registered investment advisory firm, in March of 2006, to manage his clients’ investments, using his unique process to maximize risk-adjusted returns. Because Joe is a strong believer in diversification, he has expanded the firm’s service offerings to include private equity and private real estate alternatives. Along with advising clients and implementing investment strategies, Joe is involved with the investment committee and actively participates in the due diligence process, particularly with alternative investment products. As an entrepreneur by nature, Joe is passionate about advocating for his clients’ financial well-being. He is continuously seeking opportunities to add value to clients of DAI.

Joe is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, graduating with honors, and currently holds Series 7, 63, 66 and 24 licenses. Joe was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association (ADISA). Charles Porter, Ph.D. is an award-winning author, speaker, testifying real estate expert in over 600 cases nationwide, and has served in various faculty teaching roles at St. Edward’s University since 2008. In 2016 he earned a Ph.D. in Economics and Business from the Universitat Jaume I in Spain with “Cum Laude” distinction. He is also a well-recognized water rights expert. He was recently appointed to the Education Standards Committee of the Texas Real Estate Commission.

Russell Riggs is a Senior Policy Representative with the National Association of Realtors in Washington, DC. For the past 23 years, Russell has advocated on behalf of Realtors on energy, environment, property rights, immigration and natural resource issues before Congress and federal regulatory agencies.

Russell also serves as the Advocacy Liaison to the Realtors Land Institute, NAR‘s Global and Business Affairs Group and NAR’s Resort and Second Home Group.

Prior to his position with NAR, Russell held positions with the U.S. Department of Energy, the Council of State Governments, the National Governors Association and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

Russell holds a Bachelors degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and Masters Degrees from Tufts University and New York University.

He resides with his family in Falls Church, VA.

Presentation Topic: Sustainable Ranching Systems: A Different Perspective on Productive Stewardship

Speaker Bio

ason Sawyer was raised in and around central Texas, with deep family roots and the family place still in McCulloch County. He received a BS degree in Rangeland Ecology and Ranch Management from Texas A&M University in 1995, and an MS in Ruminant Nutrition (1998) and PhD in Range Nutrition and Beef Cattle Management (2000), both from New Mexico State University.

Dr. Sawyer joined the faculty at the Clayton Livestock Research Center in Clayton, NM with a joint appointment in research and extension as a Beef Cattle Extension Specialist. In this role, he developed applied research programs in conjunction with regional producer advisory groups, conducted statewide extension programs, and served in a consulting role for numerous producers. He joined the faculty at Texas A&M University in 2003, with teaching and research roles in beef cattle production, focusing on beef cattle nutrition and stocker cattle production management. In 2008, he assumed the role of Superintendent of the McGregor Research Center, overseeing an integrated crop and livestock operation with approximately 1,200 beef cows, sotkcer, growyard, and finishing enterprises, and facilitating research programs related to beef cattle production and management, while continuing to teach and conduct research in beef cattle production systems and related areas.

Jason joined the team at the King Ranch® Institute for Ranch Management (KRIRM) in January, 2020, to expand opportunities for the Institute to create innovative solutions for ranch management. His primary interests are the development of strategies to enhance the sustainability of beef production systems, the application of nutritional strategies on these systems, and the development of valid indicators of sustainable production. He has authored or co-authored over 75 peer-reviewed publications, over 200 abstracts, proceedings, and technical reports, and given presentations at over 100 local, state, and national meetings.

Richard began selling land in 1974 and joined the management team of United Country Real Estate where he now serves as Executive Vice President in 1988. He participated in hundreds of land transactions as an agent and broker and assisted with many others nationwide in his current role. His experience includes farming wheat, soybeans, cotton, milo, rice, hay and cattle which helps him connect with a broad range of sellers. His specialty is listing and seller representation.

Bob Turner, ALC, served as the 2016 RLI National President. He is a proud REALTOR® and has been a land broker for over 37 years. Bob is considered NAR’s REALTOR® expert on Qualified Opportunity Zones and was even invited to the stage by US President Donald Trump at the last REALTOR® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo to speak on the topic. Turner has been an active member of RLI since 1996, earning his ALC Designation in 2006. Among his many contributions to the organization, he has served on the RLI Board of Directors, as the RLI Representative to the NAR Executive Committee, RLI Tennessee Chapter President, and as the chair of the RLI 2012 National Land Conference. He personally operates farms, mobile home parks, Residential and Commercial developments, and brokers land in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas.

Bob has portrayed a true love of the “experience of life” through family, many lifelong friends, and his Realtor Family. Bob has called Tennessee home his entire life from growing up on a small cattle farm in Covington to college at University of Tennessee at Martin and to Memphis in 1979 entering in the Land Real Estate Business.  He has always considered Tennessee the best place to live, play and raise a family and where they own and operate their Real Estate Portfolio.

Bob and Wendy were married in 1988 and now live on their farm with daughters Megan and Madison.  Bob has portrayed a true “love of the land” through farming, cattle, hunting, conservation, buying, selling, and developing property for over 40 years. His quest for fun, friends, and family along with a successful real estate career and impeccable reputation is apparent to anyone that knows him in all the different aspects of his life. Bob’s family is the center of his world, we are very close and enjoy traveling and having fun with our Realtor Family.
