LANDU FAQ's

How do I find information on upcoming courses?

  • ALC Designated Course Price: $268

  • Non-Member Course Price: $735

The Land Investment Analysis course registration fees are

Are LANDU courses offered online or in-person?

RLI National offers courses in the Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) format monthly.  The VILT courses are scheduled over 4 – 2 hour weekly webinar sessions, with the exception of Land Investment Analysis.  The Land Investment Analysis course is scheduled over 5 – 2 hour weekly webinar sessions. RLI National also hosts the annual LANDU Education Week.  This is the only time RLI National hosts in-person courses over 9 days. For more information on this event, please visit LANDU Education Week webpage. RLI Chapters offer LANDU courses only in-person, which are scheduled over two days, except for Land Investment Analysis.  The Land Investment Analysis course (in-person) is scheduled over three days.

How many courses do I need to take for the ALC Designation?

Land professionals working towards the elite ALC Designation need to complete six courses (104 LANDU contact hours) to apply. Fifty-six of those hours are completed in three required courses (Land 101, Land Investment Analysis, and Transitional Land Real Estate). Another 32 hours of specialty courses and 16 hours of elective courses must also be completed to fulfill the remaining hours for the requirement.

Do I need to attend the live webinar lectures that are part of a VILT course?

Registrants are highly encouraged to attend the live weekly webinars for the learning experience and instructor and course attendee interaction. The live weekly webinars are recorded and made available, within 24-48 hours of the session, to the course attendee. A final grade of 70 points must be earned on the exam to pass the course.

Does RLI submit continuing education (CE) credit hours for approval?

No, RLI National does not submit for CE approval for our courses. However, we recommend that our members reach out to their State’s Real Estate Commission for the requirements on self-reporting CE for their license.  In some states, the Commission allows self-reporting and requires the individual to submit any additional course materials (i.e. timed agenda, course objectives, description…), along with their course completion certificate.  Unfortunately, RLI National does not have access to each state’s CE requirements and criteria.

What is RLI's cancellation policy for LANDU courses?

All cancellation requests must be made prior to the start date of the course to receive a refund. Refunds will be made for the full amount paid less a $25 cancellation fee per course cancelled. No refunds will be made after a course’s scheduled start date.
