Please read the information below before completing the Call for Speakers application.
Proposals focusing on practical, actionable strategies in the following areas will be considered:
Our breakout sessions are 1 hour long and are presented twice during the conference.
Position yourself as a go-to expert in land real estate. Speak in front of a highly engaged audience of top land professionals, gain visibility across the industry, and open the door to future opportunities. RLI members value great insights—and they love to share them.
While RLI does not generally pay a speaking fee for breakout speakers, all conference Presenters will receive one waived conference registration fee (a $1050 value), hotel accommodations for one night, and reimbursement of travel expenses (certain restrictions apply).
If selected, all presenters must agree to the contractual terms and conditions outlined in the submission process. Presentations that contain evidence of a product or service promotion will be automatically disqualified.
We evaluate speakers, and their proposals based on several criteria to ensure a high-quality experience for our attendees. Speaker evaluation considers the diversity of thought and perspective they bring, the associated costs to RLI, their ability to engage and captivate an audience, and their responsiveness and ease of collaboration throughout the planning process. Proposal scoring focuses on value to the target audience, current importance and relevance to the industry, a fresh take for RLI content, practical application, company type (supplier, brand, consultant, etc.) and whether the proposal is promotional.
Complete the Speaker Submission form to submit your proposal. If your submission is approved for a speaking slot at the National Land Conference, we will notify you no later than September 15. If you do not hear from us, your proposal may still be considered for other speaking opportunities later in the year.
Note: Focus on industry insights. Share general trends, data or innovative ideas that enhance audience understanding of the topic. We do not accept promotional content. Our goal is to maintain an educational and unbiased experience for our attendees. Please do not submit a proposal if you plan to present promotional content. Speakers who submit promotional content will not be considered for a breakout session.
Definition of promotional content: Promotional content is any material that primarily serves to market or sells a specific product, service, or company. This includes direct advertising, brand-specific claims and content that highlight personal or company accomplishments instead of providing objective insights.
