RLI Announces 2022 National Leadership

September 16, 2021 (Chicago, Ill.) ~ The REALTORS® Land Institute (RLI), a commercial affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®, proudly announces its 2022 national leadership.

Sam Bowers, ALC, of Bowers and Burns Real Estate in Georgia, was elected by membership as 2022 RLI National Vice President. Sam joins the 2022 RLI National Board of Directors as a member of the Executive Committee alongside 2022 President Dean Saunders, ALC, of SVN Saunders Ralston Dantzler in Florida; 2022 President-Elect Luke Worrell, ALC, of Worrell Land Services in Illinois; and 2022 Immediate Past President Renee Harvey, ALC, of Century 21 Harvey Properties in Texas.

As Vice President, Sam will serve a four-year term on RLI’s Executive Committee, making him the Institute’s 2024 National President. Sam brings a wealth of industry and community leadership experience to his new position with RLI. Among numerous accolades in both residential and land real estate, Sam was named 2003 Georgia Land REALTOR® of the Year by the Georgia Chapter of RLI. He served as President of the chapter in 2017, and currently serves as its Treasurer. At the national level, Sam has served on RLI’s Budget and Finance and Governmental Affairs committees, and on the National Land Conference Task Force.

The election also adds one At-Large Director to the RLI Board for a two-year term. RLI is proud to announce the election of Mike Garrett, ALC, of Garrett Land Brokers in Georgia, onto the 2022 RLI Board of Directors. A member since 2015, Mike received his ALC Designation in 2016. He currently serves as president of the Georgia RLI Chapter. He was 2004 president of his local Home Builder’s Association.

RLI Chief Executive Officer Aubrie Kobernus, MBA, RCE, said, “Alongside the RLI Board of Directors, I congratulate Sam and Mike on their new leadership roles.
