10 Minutes to a More Powerful Find a Land Consultant Profile

The Find a Land Consultant tool on the RLI website is an RLI member benefit designed to help land buyers, sellers, and other land professionals find the right people to do business with. Follow these 6 simple steps and you’ll be on your way to a more powerful profile that stands out and reaches the right prospects.

  1. A picture is worth…well you know what they say. People want to put a face with a name. A professional, high quality profile photo is the first step to making a credible first impression. Think confident poses, sharp resolution, well-lit, and approachable. Avoid busy backgrounds with too much color, full body photos, lots of props, and fuzzy images.
     
  2. Location, location, location. Did you know there are TWO new address options in your member profile? Go to your Member Profile, click the Contact Info tab, and check your Find a Land Consultant Address. This is the address that shows up on your listing and the map pin.
     
  3. Make it easy for people to reach out, the way they prefer. Work phone, mobile phone, email, website – give people multiple options for how they can contact you.
     
  4. Filters matter (and we’re not talking Instagram). To get matched with the right prospects, select your Service and Property Specialties and the states where you are licensed to do business. When people filter for these results, it will help cut through a potentially long list of land consultants.
     
  5. Have a professional designation besides the ALC? Your expertise sets you apart, make sure people know about it. Add up to 9 different designations to your profile, including CCIM, AFM, SIOR.
     
  6. Tell your story. Your bio is the place to add details that help people get to know you. Think education, awards, leadership and board positions, community work, hobbies and interests, or details about your passion for land and family. Brag away!
